Cango Caves


An easy walk through the first six largest and most spectacular halls and continuing through to the “African Drum room”. This tour commences with information on the real discoverers and inhabitants of the cave and then winds its way through the rest of the Caves’ cultural and historical heritage. A comfortable walk through the most majestic of the cave chambers.  Experienced and knowledgeable guides will accompany you on this journey of discovery and knowledge. Around 60 minutes is required to complete the tour.

Calitzdorp Cellar


OUR WINES IN THE LAST 13 YEARS, CELLAR PRODUCTION INCREASED FROM 2000 TONS TO 5000 TONS. Our first red wines were made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Shiraz, Pinotage, Tinta Barocca, Touriga Nacional, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc were planted in the early nineties. The Cellar has been awarded Champion Cooperative Winery of the Little Karoo twice and performs very well at The SA Young Wine Show as well as the Veritas Competition. Our Hanepoot and Cape Port have been classed SA Champions at the SA Young Wine Show and awarded with the prestigious Etchell (Hanepoot) and (Port) trophies.

Kleine Windpompie Accommodation

The beautiful Kleine Windpompie Farm in is situated 6km outside Barrydale towards Ladismith on the R62. Rural rustico, agriturismo  This operating farm offers astonishing views over the Langeberg mountains and Farm hills on the Karoo land in barrydale with the presence of sheep to enhance the feel of farm life. This tranquil, off the grid and peaceful stay promise to offer relaxation at it’s best.  During working hours the farm does the usual activities although guests privacy are respected.


Over Karoo Inn is situated on the scenic Route 62, in the quant little town of Barrydale in the Western Cape, on the border of the Klein Karoo and the Overberg.

Ladismith Manor

Welcome to Ladismith Manor Ladismith Manor is a restored Edwardian House originally built in 1913.  It’s centrally located in Ladismith (550m) on the famous Route 62 and nestles at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountain range in the Klein Karoo. Situated on Route 62, it is linked by tarred main roads to all major centres, including Cape Town (320km), Oudtshoorn (100km), Montagu (139km), George (160km), Mossel Bay (185km) and Port Elizabeth (420km).   Ladismith is well known for its mountain biking, trails, an abundance of wildlife, and deciduous orchards and vineyards.

We were born in Ladismith, farmed in the district for many years and know the area very well. The spectacular mountain views along with the mixed farming activities of the valley provide a tranquil atmosphere. The valley is a dead end and therefore quiet and peaceful.
